It is with great pride that I welcome you to the Eye Disease Foundation's web site.
Created in 1979, the Eye Disease Foundation is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to subsidize and promote interest in ocular diseases research and raise awareness about the importance of sight and organ and tissue donation.
For over 30 years, the Foundation has actively contributed to the community by:
- Its fundraising activities through which $2,000,000 has been donated to research on eye diseases since 1992;
- Its Participe pour voir campaign, a tour in which the Foundation, accompanied by volunteer optometrists, visits elementary schools throughout the province in order to provide screening tests and eyeglasses to families in need;
- Its attendance at several health-related trade shows;
- Its participation to safety-related weeks for factory workers
Thanks to the public and the volunteers' generosity, the Foundation will be as active as ever in 2012 throughout Québec thus pursuing its mission of helping people see life.
